This book is practical and to the point. I picked it up because I wanted to animate but hated how long it took to draw so many images. I was able to read it and create a convincing run cycle (that I learned elsewhere) but the speed in the drawing of the images was amazing and I learned that here. I went from taking 30 minutes to draw an image from start to finish to 10 minutes per image. The image below is my work I finished the same afternoon I read this book. It will increase your drawing speed.
Very good useful information. This is very good book for beginners that can enhance how they perceive shapes and depth in line drawings.

This book covers planning animation in a way I've not seen in other books. It makes sense. I found the information insightful. If you don't mind spending so much for it, it's a good book. Short but good.
good starting point for drawing for animation, clear and concise. Provides many examples and tips for drawing and making clear ideas

just started it a week ago but looks like a very useful book for animation students.
While it is a good reference source, I dislike books such as this one, that recommends I reference a different book or go to a website to clarify a point or illustration that this book is trying to make. Same well-known animation rules rehashed for ten bucks.
